MUDVAYNE And HELLYEAH Are Looking For Best New Bands
December 14, 2007MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH have announced that they will be searching music social networking site Amie Street for the best up-and-coming metal bands for them to endorse. Fans of these two bands will be encouraged to create profiles on Amie Street, and message the bands with their suggestions. Any artists who would like to be endorsed by either MUDVAYNE or HELLYEAH can also message them on Amie Street for consideration. The top five bands will be featured on a Hot List that lives on MUDVAYNE and HELLYEAH's MySpace pages as well as their official web pages.
HELLYEAH's live DVD, "Below the Belt", was released on November 13. The disc contains footage going back to the formation of the band, including the group's first recording session, the making of its self-titled debut album and various stops on the group's ongoing world tour, as well as personal interviews and other features. The two-hour DVD also includes videos, backstage clips, footage from the band's April record release party and a look inside Chasin' Jason, the studio once owned by late PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott where HELLYEAH recorded.
MUDVAYNE's new collection of rarities, demos and live recordings, "By The People, For The People", sold 22,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release to debut at position No. 51 on The Billboard 200 chart.
Fans helped choose the songs on "By The People, For The People" at Mudvayne.com, with the group deciding on the final selection. The record contains demo versions of some of MUDVAYNE's most popular songs, including "Death Blooms", "Fall Into Sleep", "Not Falling" and "Happy".
